Type of course? Downland.

Pleasant staff? It was a charity round for the British Heart Foundation, so we didn’t really deal with the club staff.

Best hole? The 6th because I love an elevated green.

Après golf? I had to rush home to do some work, but the clubhouse isn’t the most attractive.

Nice round? I’m still playing well and enjoying being able to use my 5 and 6 irons without having to direct many prayers to all the gods I can think of, so yes.

Special memory? A lovely chip on to the 18th green for par. Everyone loves finishing on a par.

Must play again? Yes, the greens were dreadful but I putt better on bad greens anyway, and the course is very interesting.
