Type of course? Parkland. Trees everywhere and quite a few ditches. Narrow.
Pleasant staff? Yes, but the pro shop doesn’t sell Wexham GC ball markers. What about my collection?
Best hole? We only played 9 holes due to the hurricane conditions and none stood out.
Après golf? It was an American Golf qualifier, so they put on a buffet for us and it was good.
Nice round? Yes. We both played well and came in with the best score, but so did two other teams, who beat us on count back. No national final at the Belfry for us this year.
Special memory? A red kite hovering very low above us on a number of holes. So much more majestic than our psychotic seagulls.
Must play again? I’d like to, but crawling along the M25 to get there takes away quite a lot of the appeal.
