Type of course? Downland.
Pleasant staff? Hmm. It was my Away Day and there were a few hiccups. I blame them, they blame me. The truth is, as ever, probably somewhere in the middle. Great deal though: bacon sandwich + coffee, 18 holes and ham, egg and chips for £30.
Best hole? It has to be the amazing 18th, where you tee off from the top of the cliff into the valley below, overlooking the town of Seaford.
Après golf? Top quality ham, egg and chips.
Nice round? Two birdies and 39 points on my favourite course and two delightful club members as partners. Near enough perfect.
Special memory? A 7 iron from a fairway bunker that ended a foot from the pin for my second birdie on the 16th.
Must play again? ASAP. Stunning views over the Seven Sisters and a thoroughly fun course.
