Type of course? Heathland.
Pleasant staff? Really really lovely.
Best hole? The 9th par 5 with a green protected by a ditch (yes of course I went in it).
Après golf? Welcoming outside space to enjoy a coffee and the peace of the forest.
Nice round? Fantastic. The golf was a bit scrappy, but PONIES! PONIES EVERYWHERE!
Special memory? Teeing off in the company of two ponies grazing on the tee box.
Must play again? Yes. It’s one of those courses/golf clubs that I love: small, completely unpretentious, warm and welcoming, a bit scruffy, at one with its environment and just a lot fun.
